Precautions for Air Conditioning Installation and Maintenance

1. Do not install air conditioning near areas where flammable gases are prone to leakage; Do not connect the grounding wire to gas pipelines, water pipelines, lightning rods, or telephone grounding wires; The inlet and outlet of the internal and external units should be kept unobstructed;

2. To maintain smooth air flow, there should be a certain amount of space in the front, back, left, and right of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner, while avoiding direct sunlight. The installation location of the indoor unit of the air conditioner should not have a high-voltage power supply near it and should be at least 1 meter away from TV, audio or high-frequency equipment, high-power wireless devices, to avoid interference with each other.

3. Traditional materials such as adhesive plaster, gypsum, cement, and glass glue are used for air conditioning installation to block wall holes, which cannot effectively prevent waterproofing. As a rainy season in southern China, if rainwater flows back into the interior walls, even a small amount of rainwater can damage the interior decoration and cause unnecessary losses.

Precautions for using air conditioning

1. The power supply voltage should not fluctuate too much (± 10% fluctuation is allowed), and the air conditioner should be powered by a dedicated line, using a single-phase three hole socket. In addition, the plug should be plugged into the bottom.

2. The casing of indoor units should be cleaned regularly, usually with a clean dry cloth or neutral detergent. It is absolutely not allowed to rinse directly with water. If a cloth is used for wiping, it should also be done after the power is turned off.

3. The indoor temperature should not be set too low, otherwise it is harmful to the human body. The set temperature should be adjusted appropriately.

If you feel that the indoor temperature is too high, you can lower the set temperature appropriately.

5. Effective use of timers can achieve both energy-saving and comfortable effects.

6. There should not be too many or crowded people in the air-conditioned room, otherwise the cooling capacity will appear insufficient and the temperature will be difficult to drop;

7. The doors and windows of the room should not be frequently opened or closed, and personnel should not enter or exit frequently to avoid loss of air conditioning;

8. Glass windows must be tightly closed and sealed, and double-layer white curtains should be hung inside to reflect some of the light and heat that enters;

9. During indoor ventilation, windows can be opened briefly for no more than 10 minutes;

10. The air filter should be cleaned regularly, otherwise the airflow will be blocked, resulting in insufficient air volume and an increase in room temperature;

11. Adjust the temperature during sleep, and the air conditioner can automatically adjust the sleep temperature;

12. The installation of outdoor units should be reliable, reducing vibration and noise. Sufficient space should be left in front of the suction and exhaust ports of the condenser for ventilation. If the wind is blocked, the increase in condensation pressure will cause shutdown;

There should be no obstacles in front of the indoor unit, otherwise it will affect the air outlet;

14. When the air conditioner is just running, the selection switch can be adjusted to high speed mode for rapid cooling, and then adjusted to medium speed and low speed mode after the temperature drops;

15. Window air conditioners can use ventilation switches for ventilation, but the ventilation time should not exceed 15 minutes;

16. Excessive accumulation of dust on the outdoor radiator of the air conditioner can lead to a decrease in efficiency. Regular inspection and cleaning of the outdoor radiator should be carried out (after a power outage, compressed air can be used to blow it clean);

17. The outdoor unit of the split air conditioner should not be inserted with sticks or other objects, otherwise the fan will get stuck or damaged;

When feeling that the use of the air conditioner is not ideal, one should refer to the user manual, analyze whether it is caused by improper use, identify the cause, and make corrections;

When a fault is discovered and cannot be handled by oneself, one can seek professional maintenance technicians from the original installation department to solve it, or contact local service personnel of the brand company. It is not allowed to repair it by oneself or hire non professional personnel for maintenance;

20. When the air conditioner is not in use, the power should be unplugged in a timely manner;

After the air conditioner is turned off, it must wait for three minutes before restarting to protect the compressor;

22. Air conditioners with remote controls (should not be placed easily accessible to children) should not be operated as toys by children during use to avoid damaging the machine.

Maintenance of air conditioning

1. Remove debris from the ventilation opening to ensure proper ventilation. Observe whether the outdoor rack is loose and clean the outdoor ventilation grille for any foreign objects. Meanwhile, keep the ventilation openings unobstructed.

2. Clean the surfaces of indoor and outdoor heat exchangers to improve their efficiency. When cleaning the indoor heat exchanger, be careful to remove the panel, wipe it with a soft cloth, and gently brush the heat exchanger of the indoor unit with a small brush to remove dust and harmful accumulations of breeding bacteria. However, it should be noted that due to the thin aluminum material of the heat sink, it is prone to deformation under stress, so it should be carefully brushed.

3. Clean the accumulated dust on the filter screen. When cleaning the filter screen, first cut off the power and then turn on the air intake grille; Remove the filter and clean it with water or a vacuum cleaner. The water temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Use a hot damp cloth or neutral detergent to clean it, and then wipe it clean with a dry cloth. At the same time, do not use insecticides or other chemical detergents to clean the filter.

4. Clean the dirt and accumulated substances in the drainage section. The drainage part is prone to sedimentation of dirt and must be thoroughly disinfected regularly to ensure smooth drainage and prevent bacterial growth.

5. Check others. Including power supply lines, plug and socket boards, and switches; Check the condition of consumable parts such as air guide plates, sterilization and dehumidification, photocatalysts, etc., to ensure that the air conditioning is in good condition without any abnormalities.

Air conditioning maintenance during regular hours

Special period air conditioning maintenance

In the seasons of moderate temperature from March to May and September to November, people generally keep the air conditioning in a non working state. In the season when the air conditioner is not in use, the power supply of the air conditioner should be disconnected first, but it is best to maintain a usage rate of once a month to prevent the condensation of lubricating oil inside the unit due to prolonged non use. At the same time, in order to ensure the long-term high-speed operation of the air conditioner and the extension of its usage mission, it is also necessary to pay attention to proper maintenance of the air conditioner when suspending or starting to use it.

After the end of the usage season. Before suspending the use of the air conditioner, it can be set to the air supply state on a sunny day and run for about half a day to completely dry the inside of the air conditioner; At the same time, the dust filter, indoor unit, and outdoor unit should be cleaned thoroughly.

2. Before the start of the usage season. Check if there are any obstacles at the inlet and outlet of the indoor and outdoor units to avoid reducing the efficiency of the air conditioning system; Install a dust filter to prevent damage or malfunctions caused by dust entering the interior of the machine; The remote control should be cleaned with a dry cloth, not glass cleaner or cloth containing chemicals. After cleaning, two new batteries of the same model should be installed.
